A psychology professor at Yale recently asked her undergraduate students to complete an "art therapy" exercise. She passed out paper and crayons, and asked them to draw a picture of what they thought their life was going to look like. Upon receiving the assignments, she was shocked to see most of the pictures were images of hopelessness -- dark colors, falling off of a cliff, hitting a brick wall, or being generally unfulfilled. If our "best and our brightest" are afraid to dream in their early twenties, something must be done.
The Law of Attraction is one of life’s biggest mysteries. Very few people are fully aware of how much of an impact the Law of Attraction has on their day to day life. Whether we are doing it knowingly or unknowingly, every second of our existence, we are acting as human magnets sending out our thoughts and emotions and attracting back more of what we have put out.
I AGREE with you when you invite people not to be fooled but, not to be fooled by just believing the first guy who introduces himself as an expert when it is obviously just leading you to pay 299 for a magical LOA course so to go deeper in the study of it before dismissing totally a life changing knowledge. Yours are valuable tools to but there is no need to be general and discriminate 100% something that you have not fully experience yourself.
And NOT EVERYTHING is your fault. As a psychologist, you should know that we have 65000 thoughts a day and most of them are not conscious. In that case how are you supposed to know that you were thinking so subconsciously? (SUBCONSCIOUS thoughts matter too!). In fact, LoA users use their subconscious mind as a great asset. The truth about the law of attraction is actually simple.

The Secret (Law Of Attraction) In English

Emmet Fox wrote about metaphysics and the power of prayer in essays and books. His teachings are founded in Christianity and bible stories. He cites Jesus Christ as being the greatest teacher of metaphysics who ever lived and explains that thoughts are our most important emanation, more important than what we say or what we do. In the books Power Through Constructive Thinking and Find and Use your Inner Power Fox speaks about "building the mental equivalent of what you want and to expunge those that you don't".
This first book on the law of attraction is absolutely amazing. I simply love it. Whenver I feel out of the weather, or my life is taking unexpected turns, I start listening to this again and it gives me immediate emotional relief, along with hope for improvement in my life. Not to mention applying those principles will change your life for the better because the law of attraction is real and knowing how to apply it will help you succeed whether with your health, your finances, your business, your relationship or pretty much anything that you want to be, do or have. Anything you desire can be yours if you understand the principles of the law of attraction and this is the perfect book to get started.

Now that you know what you want, you have to ask the universe for it. It’s almost like you’re tuning your destiny for it. With a clear message on what it is you want, remember your detailed list, the universe can help you get it. Yes, the universe will still try to help even if you don’t ask, however, it will have to take a guess at what it is that you are wanting. With that said, don’t leave it to chance and ask for what you want.

I kept hearing about this book. I expected it to be a new age, wish on a star book. But, it was a good read. It reminded me that, at least to some extent, we do create our own reality by the attitude we project. If we are a grump, we attract other grumps, not happy persons, to us. And so on. It is a quick read, a fun read, lots of white space, easy to understand and assimilate, no high psychology words, no mumbo jumbo. Good illustrations. Definitely written for the layman. I've also seen Losier's videos and they are more of the same.

The Law of Attraction is the most powerful law in the universe. Just like gravity, it is always in effect, always in motion. It is working in your life at this very moment. You are always in a state of creation. You are creating your reality in every moment of every day. You are creating your future with every single thought: either consciously or subconsciously. You can’t take a break from it and decide not to create because creation never stops.
Lucky people don’t do the ego dance, which is when we go out into public or we’re around somebody new and low self-worth leads us to question: “Who should I be? Will they love me? What do I say for them to love?” Magnetic people don’t do that. They share a dissociation from that ego dance and they’re just presently, authentically, vulnerably themselves.
My friend Kyle Gray taught me the power of praying to the angels. But, the idea is not to ask them for things. It’s to thank them for things in the present tense. So, an example would be: “Thank you, angels, for the money needed to pay for B-School manifesting in my life quickly, easily and now.” The angels (and lots of other helpers) are here to support you always. You just have to invite them to the party.
So why does the latent content of a dream end up being hidden by the manifest content? Freud believed that the unconscious mind contained desires, urges, and thoughts that are unacceptable to the conscious mind. These might involve traumatic memories, secret desires, or socially objectionable urges that might cause distress if they were brought into awareness.
A dear friend of mine has been working very actively on manifesting her dreams. She has been creating bucket lists and vision boards for what she wants in her life. Some are small, like buying a kayak, and others are grander for family, marriage and community. She even wrote a check to herself, from "The Universe" for an outlandish amount she never thought she deserved.

Trust the Universe. Imagine an alternate dimension that is almost exactly like the real world but whatever you truly desire comes true in an instant. See yourself in that dimension, where whatever you ask the Universe for comes to you in an instant. Don't look for what you asked for; this is where people tend to mess up. If you have to keep an eye out for an event that manifests your wish, it's only telling the Universe you don't have it, and you will attract not having it.
We actually want to ask something else. (For example, we think that if we are rich we are going to be more charming to other men and finally get married to a powerful and sexy man. Alright, although I can see the point, why don’t we get to the chase immediately? Do a manifestation ritual to get a nice man to love you. Focus on what you REALLY want.)
You are describing how it is desirable to have the good and bad. Death is good. Aging is good. Disease is good. I don't necessarily disagree with your premise. However, these are not the things that people typically want or desire to fill their lives. When you talk about creation and destruction being natural phenomenon, I agree. But invoking the law of attraction should stop the destruction part if that's what I want to attract. This is irrespective of it being objectively good or bad.
Yes, I am familiar with that phrase, although not sure how it applies to this situation. I am the source and you would like me to consider myself? I do not have an employer. Psychology Today provides a forum for articles and discussions. They do not hire me or pay me. They are not the source of this information. I take full responsibility for the content.
